The story behind it

Two years ago,
we opened the doors.

June 2024. That's when we opened Seafood City for the very first time.

We didn't know if Birmingham was ready for a Louisiana-style boil where you eat with your hands and wear a bib. We just backed ourselves and went for it.

Two years later — you're still showing up. You brought your hen dos. Your birthdays. Your dates, your families, your worst-behaved group chats. So this one's for you.

Throughout May, every prawn on the menu is doubled. Platters. Combos. Add-ons. If prawns are on it, you're getting twice as many. Same price. No catch. Just us going a bit over the top — because that's what birthdays are for.

Twice the prawns.

Every Wednesday and Friday this May, every platter that includes king prawns gets a free upgrade. We double the prawn count. Nothing else changes. Same sauces. Same cook. Same sides. Same price. Your platters just became absolute monsters.

When May's over (one final Wednesday into June and that's it), it's gone. Bring your crew, your group chat, the friend who always orders prawns. This is the year we say thanks for showing up.

Terms

  • Wednesday and Friday only — every Wed and Fri until 4 June 2026.
  • Applies to every platter that includes king prawns. Pre-set quantities only — no extra add-ons.
  • Same price as a regular platter. Nothing else changes — same sauces, same sides, same cook.
  • Dine-in only. Not valid for takeaways or delivery.
  • Booking strongly recommended. Walk-ins on the eligible days will be honoured subject to availability.
  • One double-prawn upgrade per platter ordered. Cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.
  • Seafood City Birmingham reserves the right to vary or end the offer at any time.
